Several of the top reviews found during their research usually include articles by bloggers, though most Americans do not realize that many of these so called "reviews" by bloggers are actually compensated recommendations. This practice of companies paying bloggers to positively review their products and services has caught the eye of the Federal Trade Commission, according to the Associated Press. The FTC will be creating new guidelines this summer that would state that the agency can go after bloggers (and the companies that compensate them) for any false claims or failure to disclose conflicts of interest.

Google has purchased a million phone numbers for the upcoming release of their product, Google Voice, a phone management service provided by the search engine giant. Google has a closed beta for its new service, only available to previous GrandCentral users, though the public release is expected to occur in the upcoming month.

The TomTom GPS device will now include the voice of Homer Simpson, the latest celebrity voice available to TomTom users. Owners of the TomTom device can visit the TomTom website and download the voice for a small fee

It's pretty shocking how fast technology moves, isn't it? Back in the mid 90's, a normal home computer had a 75mhz Pentium 1 processor, 4 megabytes of RAM and, if you were lucky, a 1 gigabyte hard drive. Now we've got quad core processors, terabytes of hard drive space and gigabytes of RAM to play with! Just keeping up with all of the changes could make anyone a guru in no time!

How Important is Spousal Support to a Work at Home Internet Marketer

Many of the people I meet and work with online are married or have a significant other in their life. Some are work at home moms, dads and grandparents. The desire to make money online working from home is often, at least in part, due to wanting to create a better future for their family, but they are also wanting to create a better "now" as well.

Working from home allows one parent to be at home and available to the children or other family members. It can greatly add to the comfort and security of the entire family, and that is certainly often a motivating factor. But starting a home based business is really no different than starting an offline business. It takes time to build. In addition to time, it takes some capital. The saying it takes money to make money is absolutely true. An internet marketing business requires less capital than a traditional brick and mortar business, but it only makes sense that you do have to spend some money to make some.

What if your spouse or significant other is discouraged with your efforts? What kind of impact will that have on your business? The simple answer is the impact your spouse's attitude has on your business is really up to you. There is no simple solution however, and it is an issue faced by many. For many of those who are dealing with this issue, the spouse's lack of belief in them can be a huge burden. And that is truly what it boils down to. A lack of belief. The work at home spouse feels that his or her spouse has no confidence or belief in them, when the truth often is that the spouse just doesn't understand the business.

Communication is key. In my early marketing days, my spouse was less than supportive. He was tolerant, but he resented the time and money that I was spending on my business. It was bringing me down. His lack of faith began to make me question mine. Could I really make money online? Why was it taking me so long? What was I missing? And the big one... was it worth it?

One day I sat down him down and started a conversation with him about our options. I explained my reasons for wanting to build a home based business - my reasons involved making his life easier and being available for our children. I told him that I was confident that I could make money online, but that his attitude was getting in my way. We talked about what starting an offline business would look like, and he had to agree that he would not expect instant results if we were building a traditional brick and mortar business. I asked him to give me his support and encouragement, and told him that I needed to know he believed in me.

That was a turning point for us, and for our business. My husband became more involved. He worked on a schedule with me where I could work uninterrupted while he spent time with the kids, and a few other small consessions that really were huge. Without the pressure from feeling like I had to generate a ton of cash flow in very little time, I was able to focus my attention where it needed to be. I stopped acting desparate, and the money started to trickle in. That trickle continued to grow, and with the growth of income, my husband's belief and excitement grew - with increased belief came increased support and encouragement and it continues to grow.

I realize that not all spouses are as wonderful as mine, and have considered where I would be without his support. It would have been harder, but I would have perservered. It would have taken longer to achieve what I have, but I really didn't like my options. I had a strong enough desire to build my home based business that I would have found a way to make it work. Many of the work at home people that I have spoken to who are dealing with an unsupportive spouse acknolwedge that they have not really brought their spouse into the fold. They have, for one reason or another, believed that there was no use in attempting to explain.

The bottom line is that good communication is key to a good marriage, and I highly recommend that you make your first sale by selling your home business dreams, desires to your spouse. It just might improve your overall relationship!
